Zeiss ZF 28 f2 Distagon

Err...not rockng boat here, but any idea how it performs against the 'legendary' Zeiss CY 28mm f/2.8?

The new design follows closely the footprint of the Contax CY 28f2. MTFs show that performance is better. It should perform better than the 28f2.8, other than the distortion. BTW, CY 28/2.8 is a very good lens. I love it. But I am very eager to try the new 28/2 if it is released in CY mount.

does the lens maker has plan to make new 28mm f/2 in CY mount?

Had emailed Zeiss before. But I guess it is their policy not to make any comments on future plans. So not sure. At present the new SLR series of lenses have been released for ZF (Nikon) and ZK (Pentax) mount, but then again these 2 brands are still alive, whereas Contax C/Y is dead (at least for the time being). Also market wise not sure present C/Y owners will buy the new series of lenses or not, other than the 50 and 100 (both f2) macro lenses.

hands are really 'itcy' on this Zeiss ZF 28mm f/2 but it is not in SG market yet. do you know of any site already have the review or user review?
