18-70 kit lens 120 70-300mm VR 150 85mm f1.8 85 i called NSC today and asked for a quote. are calibration charges that expensive? ![]()

i've been taking a part prime lenses and i dont see a need to calibrate them, everything is pretty fixed and unless you've been fiddling with the lenses and intensionally misthreaded something i dont think its going to be a big problem. i think the bigger problem is with the camera's autofocus sensor.

Shoot a test chart and you'd know if you need re-calibrating... but some amount of deviation is to be expected... you can't expect them to manufacture all of them to the precise mm.
This is where being able to make micro-adjustments in-camera comes in real useful... spot on focus for each and every single lens you own ![]()
