Hi,
I am not sure if someone has asked this question before and I appoligize if this has been asked several times in the past. There are both the jpeg and the raw file with the same file name. Why Lightroom only see the raw file? Is there anything I can do so that we can see both the jpeg and raw file except renaming it. Thank you |

I believe that there is an option in Lightroom under Preferences to select if Lightroom should treat the RAW/JPEG pair as 1 or 2 files.
Just saw it yesterday but dun use it cos I hardly use RAW+JPEG. Hope this helps. |

LR 1 gave preference to RAW files over jpegs when they had the same file name. The reasoning behind this is that RAW was considered the original and jpeg a (inferior) copy of it, so only the better original was imported.
With LR 1.1 this changed (after many complaints), you can now import RAW and jpeg with same file name by checking the option >edit>preferences tab Import "Treat Jpeg files next to raw files as separate files". cheers |
