Yesterday, on another thread I asked about the release of a Minolta DSLR.
Today is received the following email from Minolta. Reading between the lines, it is still a guess, if and when a DSLR will be released. As a guess, maybe next year. Oh well, the new Olympus DSLR looks good. Email Text: Sent: Thursday, April 24, 2003 1:12 AM Subject: Minolta DSLR Dear John, Thank you for your interest in Minolta. You probably mean a digital SLR with an interchangeable lens system. As this area is still under developmental consideration, we are unable to comment at this time. In general, Minolta strives to meet the requirements of professional photographers as well as photo hobbyists. As such, we are currently investigating the development of a digital camera based on a SLR with an interchangeable lens system, but unfortunately cannot relay any concrete information at the moment. Minolta USA, Europe, Singapore, Malaysia got no say. Only Minolta japan will know their future product. But Minolta Japan won't share this info with USA, europe , singapore and etc...
So, it is quite pointless to email to any party for any infos on minolta future product. That's why they always quote : good things come to those who wait. ![]() |
