Default Great Value-for-Money kit? Flash/Lens/Filter Kit-Olympus Evolt E300/E330/E500/E410

hi all, as we all know , photography is not a cheap hobby. thus has been searching for cheaper alternatives to the official olympus stuff.
Found this ebay seller, looks like a great deal, or is it not??
Any fellow olympus user has bought something like this before?

of course i understand that "one-cent-money, one-cent-good" , but if such alternatives provide a decent picture, maybe not great, that's good enough already i suppose.

thanks!

It is a common practice in the US to bundle "starter kits" like what you see here.

However, take note that the products shown are NOT Olympus OEMs.

don't think it's a good idea... the accessories in the kit are meant for non-slr cameras, esp the conversion lenses.

also, that flash included is actually the emoblitz 328 (have one and it's falling apart), which is a sub-$70 made in singapore flash. don't see the point of buying something made here all the way from over there.

all-in-all, you should shoot and discover equipment that you might want/need, rather than just buy a whole set of stuff not knowing exactly what you'd want to do with them. by then you should know what's truly good for you.

hope that helps.

More like a $40 (US) flash, not to mention them claiming the closeup set is worth $98...try $20!

Probably all the filters are uncoated so the image will reflect in the filter giving you a ghost.

Also the kit lenses (or lenses with externally moving elements) aren't designed to take the weight of converter lenses.
