Nice concept though, but I think you had taken in too wide angle, zoom in closer to the elderly man resting and a little blur background with river water would be better, cause right now, the colourful canvas tentage shelters are causing too much distraction and draw the attention away from the resting elderly man.

hi, i'm relatively new to photography, just wanna ask you a little stupid question. you said that i need to blur my background. how to to that? should i do it post shoot (PS) or using my camera setting? fyi, i'm using D80 with kit lens my setting for that pic was: shutter speed: 1/500 f4.5 iso 100 thanks in advance....!!! |

thanks for your reference. anyway, i have digitally blurred the background for the above pic ![]() 1 question tho... i'm using kit lens, and when i zoom the aperture diameter increases thus increasing the DOF. how do i get (let's say the pic i have taken above) to blur the background when i zoom in? what kind of setting should i use? ![]() |

move closer to ur subject and zoom in... the closer you are and the longer focal length will make shallower dof.
