Interesting info from POP photo magazine, at least we know Sony sensor base image stabilization or SSS is working quite well and comparable to lens base IS/VR. Hope Alpha 700 will be even better

Here is a diagram to show why i think the two OIS + CCD shift solution cannot be stacked and operated as it is unless they are design to work in a complementary manner or differentialy. i like AS built in body because it saves money, all lenses mounted on it are "IS" liao.

I actually don't see how that would be helpful... unless they mounted the sensor on a gyroscope, no amount of compensation will work for very long focal lengths or very slow shutter speeds... not even body AS and lens IS...
