Default SOC Starts from Young

^^ Hehe.

"Didi, don't just sit there. Jump down with both feet landing on the ground."

"Ah, why have your elbows become a chicken wing?"

"Good boy! You are now ready to take the SOC course."

Yup, too many people, I think! The queue was long. But it was a good chance to let people know of the camp, the training, and the equipments.

Nice and interesting series photos to share. But given that I'm someone from a safety department, there are a series of 'NC' (Non-compliance) found by this young and new 'recruit'. Haha...

Nice capture of the moment - of the lil boy getting off the wall. Noticed the wall has this Black thingy on top. Is it the same soft material we find at stadium's tracks?

Last time no such cushion leh... Looks like we have really come a long way in terms of safety, and welfare for soldiers huh?

Thank you, fv. ^^ Hehe, it's not really a cushion, rather it is a thick piece of carpet-like material. :P Yup, nowadays, it is getting better than us ten years ago. Actually it is not a bad thing la, at least they aim to reduce injuries. However, the training should remain the same.

Bored Dad, your answer equals no answer at all. Keke~ Have a good day, bro~ Today got lots to shoot!

i wonder can our camera mounted with a normal zoom lens can survive a round of soc.

anyway, i was wondering how the boy manage to climb up the wall. than i sees it in the #3. sand bags

btw, how does the rubber at the top of the wall helps? it is not like the soldiers are landing onto it from a jump

It's mainly to help the soldiers to have a 'softer' impact as they jump and grab on the top of the wall so that they do not get their hand or elbow injured.

Back then, where got such things? It's pure concret piece of wall, just jump and do it, blue black or bruises talk later and it would heal eventually too..

but i cant understand how one can knock onto the top of wall and get blue black. none of my platoon mates from bmt, safincos, 35sce, hqsce got injuries from that. i only know there are some who dont know the technic to get up and over the wall.

Well, there were such experiences by others, and naturally, there were complains and someone came out with this USMS and WITS project...

Oh well... instead of looking into using the proper technique, they just take the comfort and easy way out.
