As a foreigner in-country, I have experienced the full blast bueuracracy, unflexibility, ineffective records management, useless time-wasting practices of the Immigration Office and their associated departments.
Contacting the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta might be of a greater help. But if you did not register your presence with them, they might have some trouble in locating the person as well.
Not being mean lah. Just stating the facts. And that's the gist of it. If I were to start, I think we would need to meet up for a long lim kopi session.
Ok jokes aside. Seriously, this goes out to whoever is reading this... if you're thinking of coming to Indonesia for whatever reason and for whatever length of time, please register yourself with the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta! This is for your own safety's sake.
talking about registering, i went down to the Singapore Embassy in Tokyo wanting to register, the staff there tell me to register online. but then i can't find any link on their website to do so oh well ...
