    Question Cleaning of UV filter

    May i know if i can use water to clean away the smudges on my uv filter? or how shld i cleanthe filter? My uv filter is ProTama brand, not those Hoya or B+W famous brands.

    slightly wet cloth should be ok. use the lint cloth for cleaning your spec.

    I think best is use len cleaning paper lor. Which i have been using. It clean away the grease away then use the blower to blow away dust.

    i use Lenspen and a microfibre cloth.

    A wet cloth may not be enuff to clean off oily smudges.

    In those cases, use either IPA (if you can find it) or the lens cleaning solutions found in photographic stores. Use a small amount, wipe the smudge off carefully and then clean off all residue using a clean corner.

    i use lens wipes to clean itbought from cp and i would add some lens cleaner along to ensure the stains are gone
