A Wedding in Sceaux, Paris

This was shot last month. The church ceremony was held in Sceaux and the dinner reception was at the Pavilion Dauphine. It was a lovely wedding with great weather and pretty venues.

The groom's French and the bride is Singaporean. I am all for mix marriages. Its an effort at the very least, at creating one world and allowing people of different religion and culture to assimilate.

Hi,

thanks. Its always easy to concentrate on just one aspect of the wedding sometimes but I have always like a variety of shots. At the start of my shooting career, I really liked shooting closeups but that was quite limiting and after awhile, it became quite boring for me and my wife (my biggest crtitic).

I then tried shooting wider, played around with space and lines. For a while, I was also fixated with capturing images which had underlying messages, layers which you can peel away. I then worked on colors...its been quite like that; picking up new stuff from books, magazines, watching movies, other art form and trying to incorporate them into my images.

I am also very inspired by other photographers works... both local and foreign, both past and present.

However, for the majority of my photos, I like to capture expressions and the joy and warmth of the day/shoot and that the colors be rich and punchy. Thats the underlying style. All else is added on.
