I used to play em too! In 1990-1992 I think.

I had the tool box and 3 cars.

Saint Dragon (my first, but it was kinda sucky)
Advante Black Special (darn, I recall checking out the store every alternate day to see when the next shipment of blacks would come in...)
Vanquish (my third - stock parts)

The Advante was my winning car! I shaved, cut out parts of chasis, put transparent body shell, shed as much weight as possible, and it was winning the other neighbourhood kids, until a jealous rival on pretending to help mod my car burnt out my motor. Who said kids were harmless? That 10 plus dollars to replace the motor was a lot...

    Now I'm into RC planes!

Guys never stop playing with toys, just that the toys get larger and more sophisticated.

i still have my cars lying around somewhere and should be in working order. i took so much care of them back then.

I think that there was another one called Rising Bird. Yeah, so if you cannot win, it's really a case of 鸟不起。

ya, can't recall if its RISING BIRD or WINNING BIRD!

but that car got thrashed when it smacked against concrete wall! so much for the BIRD! hehehe

some of the most memorable cars are... Advante Black Special, Terra Scorcher Black Special and Vanquish Black Special.

those were fun days! after school, go home, change, take the cars and go race at tracks or drainage!!

wonder if the kids of today haf such a fun past-time?

i think both no diff, coz i had both, only the special had the black translucent look. The first one had a 2001 sticker for the spoiler right?

i remember dismantling everything, rewiring the motor with better wires, using Big Foot's hub cap rollers as well, never trusted those pole stabilizers...look cuckoo. hahaa
