Thread: notebook issues.

  1. #1

    Default notebook issues.

It seems that whenever i leave my notebook idle for a long time or when i close the lid,i can't seem to bring it back to windows.
The screen stays black and i have to remove the batt and power adapter to restart it.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Think your notebook goes into hibernation mode.

Do pressing the ON/OFF button or Esc button helps?

Does waking up from hibernation need to remove all the power sources first ?
Anyway, can also check whether there is any BIOS update for your notebook which may fix some power management issues.

I never had any issues with my pre laptops.
Hence i never touched any settings that concerns power management and that also means that i do not know how to meddle with such settings.

I have dual boot, vista and Xp.
    Vista is main.

Hmm, i suspect its on standby. Check for setting in windows that allows the pressing of anykey to wake up the notebook.
