Its my first time to see this...
I saw this bug or insect last sunday. Its kinda weird to me so I decided to post some pics maybe somebody can help to Identify.
Its so creepy.. BTW this thing flies as well...   ..digital zoom...  |

Definitely some sort of weevil beetle. Similar to those found in rice. But this guy is huge!
I like the cute face too. Your digital zoom is relatively noise free.  |

My friend told me that it might be an scarab.. but I doubt it since scarab are bigger. And what attract me most is the suction nose or something very unique.
And I never tought that this thing can fly, yes it fly the moment I touch it the wings are hidden on those round body. Really interesting. The moment I am finished with the shots I let it go, I am afraid that my dog will eat it. The size of this thing is a littel bit smaller than a regular fly. Not those big flies.. I shot it with +4 Macro Filter at full zoom using 602. |

Thanks, and good idea to search the name of specie in sentosa at the same time shoot some Butterfly.
