Default Interested in A100 but should I wait for the newer model?

As above...currently the pricing for the body kit is 1080 as quoted from MScolor and its quite affordable for me to get a DSLR. But...knowing a new model coming out make me more gian...wondering if the A100 price will go down or the newer model would be less than 1.5k...can't afford more than that..

Definitely should wait. Once info of the new cam is out, you can have a better idea if you need the new features or settle for the cheaper A100.

For myself, it's a no brainer. My KM 5D just conked out and getting the new cam is a step up. My 5D will then be a spare body after SSC determines if it's serviceable or not.

Never thought I'll be having 2 bodies when entering this hobby.

if you like this one you get. Anyway new models may not come this year or announcements may not be true. I Believe sony is trying to follow apple way of spreading rumours that are not 100% true. Most of the rumours recently spreading around even their dates are not correct.

Bro, believe me, it's coming. Alamak, so much have been talked about this last few weeks, how come you think it's not coming? Go here www.photoclubalpha.com or here www.alphatracks.com or here www.dyxum.com or here http://forums.dpreview.com and then revisit this forum here on Friday 7 Sep 07. After that, if really no news then I say you are right and all this talk is B*S. And the TS can just grab the A100.

There will be an a100 replacement, just not sure when it would come, and how does it stack up with the old a100.

I know how you feel... Now, I'm going thru a BBB attack after reading about a700... Must Endure!!!

There will likely be a A100 replacement... might even be announced officially with the A700 launch...
