Life is Great 2008 - Bigger prizes

Yesterday attended the Great Eastern “Life is Great 2007” prize presentation. Before the prize given out, Mr David Tay, chairman of The Photography Society of Singapore (PSS) gave a speech. He mentioned that next year’s (2008) Life is Great photo competition will be difference from the past. PSS will propose a new format to the Great Eastern. Since Great Eastern will be 100 years old next year. To celebrate their centennial birthday, I guess the prize will be bigger and more prize given out. Let us welcome the good news.
This year the total number of photos received is around 1800 copies. The judges took more than 6 hours to select the winners. It is not an easy task to select the winners since the standard of the submitted photos were very high. I am not the winner I am just an invited guest there but I enjoyed the refreshment. Some photos taken (shown below) with a 16mm full frame fisheye AF2.8D, D80 and built-in flash is used.
