Thanks for the comments guys!

For all these pics i was shooting with a 400d + 70-300 IS lens in AV mode. i'll post more settings for the 2nd pic when i get home. need to take a look at the exif data.

edit:
here's the info

AV mode
f/8
200mm
iso400

i like #01 cos the black blackground...looks as if it is a studio setup..
and of cos, those feathers just awesome..
