Aloha people. I dunno if there is any other similar post like that.. I was thinking if i can make a lens using a door peephole and a lenscap and use with my nikon Fm2. Will it work? the focusing part i... got questions about light metering also ... i wanna get a holga..but dunno from where.

Yes I believe it will work... Metering shouldn't be an issue if the camera has an inbuilt meter.
Focusing will be tricky, I suggest you try to adjust it to infinity focus (if that's even possible). All you need to do is to open up the FM2's back, place a piece of tracing paper where the film should be. Then put the makeshift lens in position, point towards an object in the distance, and check to see if the image is in focus. Have fun! |

i believe darrrrr has made a similar one for a PnS. the theory shld be the same. just need to find a body cap for ur cam and a good saw....

the same usual places... TCW, CP etc... all these shops normally carry these odds-and-ends.

before getting the body cap and doing all the sawing work, I suggest you try maybe just duct taping things together and check if you can achieve a proper focus with that tracing paper method I suggested...
Will save you a lot more trouble sawing a hole in the body cap (trust me, very difficult thing to get a proper round hole sawn... ) |
