The FA43 is an excellent lens, abit slower than the FA50/1.4, or even the 50/1.7, but it produces some photos with this special Limited 3D feelings which is very pleasing to the eyes. It is small, very well built. AF is abit slow, but good enough for most use.

The lens is very sharp when stop down abit, but sharp enough for most use even wide open. At F4 to 5.6, it's really hard to find a sharper lens

A Ds or K100D plus an FA43, you'll have the best street photography setup (to me at least it is)

One thing though, not alot of us here actually have this lens, just a few ...

Buy your lenses according to the angle of view. Quite a noticeable difference between 30mm and 43mm in terms of focal length. Big difference in price too.

I love this lens, attached to my k10d almost all the time.
No complaint other than CA wide open, but nothing a PP can not deal with.

Here is a sample at F/2, resized only.

When OP told you that, you can treat as no stock and they are unable to get one. I have similar email reply from OP before for something else. Few months now still..

The 43mm Ltd is a nice lens. You won't regret getting one. If not because i already have a 40mm Ltd, I would have get it also.

Yeah, I have alot photos taken by this lens. You can check my Street Candids series here:

Some candid shots from the Thief Market

All taken by Ds+FA43.

Here are some samples of my kids:

Not my best samples, but I still quite like some of these.
