Platform comparisons... please... not here...

Recently, with almost all the various platforms and cameras manufacturers releasing their latest models of cameras, obviously to capture the year end purchasing madness, there are bound to be questions raised like "how does this compare to the other?" but the thing is, discussions like these tend to turn nasty when the fan of one side comes and defend the platform when one of us makes some remark about something we do not like about the other...

Therefore I would like to ask everyone in this community to refrain from making such comparisons in this section. It is good to know, ask and share. But keep this in our kopi sessions can? Not in public forums.

Discussion threads regarding other platform shall be closed. Just to prevent flaming from happening. Sorry if this sounds like I am clamping on freedom of speech, but I really want to prevent any possible flame threads from happening. It only serves to make this board unpleasant, which I want to prevent from happening. I hope to have everyone's understanding in this matter.

Agree 100%. It is nice not to see or read those posts, so nobody feels obliged to comment one way or the other. I find it amazing how free CS is from those kind of posts.
