Hello..
This are my first try from BG. Expectedly, it didnt turn up very well. Shutter speeds were too low, resulting in camera shake ( was using AP, didnt notice the low shutter) I am using pro90 IS, so i went to refer to megaweb's thread on 'how to take macros with pro90'. He said that 1/160 would be good lighting, however, when i was at Bg, the shutter didnt reach that fast despite the good lighting. So eventually, i changed to manual mode, with flash exposure at 0. Those turned out pretty ok. This are the more ok ones, 1) http://www.pbase.com/image/15591819 2) http://www.pbase.com/image/15591572 3) http://www.pbase.com/image/15591538 (evident cam shake) 4) http://www.pbase.com/image/15591566 Alternatively, the rest of the gallery http://www.pbase.com/wowach/botanic_garden_18403 Please comment. Need serious help before my next trip to BG. PS: Sorry for the links as i do not have a site for linking. Regards. |

great shots for 1st time .. I still remember my 1st time was a disaster
1st shot - nice with green background. ur object look too close and I can see tt u used 370mm + closeup +4 tt cause maximum magnification. y should use focal length from 200mm to 250mm and compose the whole dragonfly. shorter focal length also cause lesser distortion ... 2nd shot - lower angle would be better .. overall is nice 3rd shot - the object looks soft due to slow shutter speed 4th shot - DOF too shallow ... f4 is not enuff ... should use f8 ... and ur close +4 cause too much distortion ... |
