    Default plasma vs lcd tv

    hi,

can any one advise on the differences between plasma and lcd tv?

courts guys recommanded LCD tv but HN staff recommanded Plasma.... now i'm lost too.

my "expectation" is very simple.... i juz want it to be sharp when off rack... can hook up to my laptop so that i can display vibrant pixels on screen.

watching habit will be mainly the free-to-air channel (for now at least) and occassional movie from dvd.

    what's yr take?

    thanks in advance!

    due to the different technologies,

the simple idea is depend on your room conditions.

IF your room conditions can be dimmed and not bright, get the plasma. If your room has a lot of ambient lighting, get the LCD.

Plasma generally has better blacks and contrast but this adv is not there if your ambient lighting is strong.

Plasma consume more power than LCD. In terms of resolution (related to sharpness), for a given size, LCD has higher resolution.
