Canon HF-DC1 High Power Flash

Hi

I am currently using Canon Powershot A570 IS. Hmm... I am currently considering getting an external flash, Canon HF-DC1 High Power Flash.

Has anyone use that before? How is the effect? Am I able to do something like bounce flash (Read that. Not too sure what is it)? Besides the "official flash" (Canon HF-DC1), is there any other options (other flash)?
