Saw quite a few of these greenish birds in the royal botanic gardens of melbourne. They are not afraid of humans and they make "Ting Ting Ting" calling sounds. Any ID?

That's a Bell Miner (Manorina melanophrys), also called the Bellbird by some... the smallest of the miners (I'm sure you would have seen the Noisy Miner before, which looks like a grey mynah). When there's a whole flock of these it can sound like the tree can get quite melodious from afar!

Yeap there are a whole bunch of them in the royal botanic gardens, feeding in the evening.I saw the noisy miners in Brisbane. ![]() ![]()
