First time capture dog at indoor. The lighting in Expo is too dark. All by manual mode at ISO 800 (70-200/4L). The image not very sharp. Is there any brother can share with me for the setting? I am using MKII N. There is another Canon but quite number Nikon's there.

You got quite a few ok ones there. Next time use ISo 1600 or 3200. I was shooting at 3200 almost all the way in there. Try not to flash and get lower down to meet the dogs

Hi, thanks for your advise. I have tried flash but background is very dark. So that I give up it. You used 3200, which lens are you using?

I was using a 17-40 and sometimes a 70-200/4 also. I wished i had a 24-70 /2.8 though. would have been ideal

ah. AKU. I haven't participated in it for almost 2 years.
Go lower. Most of your shots are taken from standing height. It doesn't show the personality of the dogs. Also looks like many were taken from some distance away? Activity. What are you trying to say about the dogs? What are the dogs saying? What are they doing? my 2 cents. |

Thanks for the comments, I notice that all you say let me lower down position. I will try next time. At that day, I only bring 70-200 it can not too close dogs. Next time have to bring more lens. Thanks! |
