Notice in the first post that a K100D was saved. I don't think the K100D has weathersealing. |

On the other hand, the inside of the K10D posted above was almost totally dry, which we can safely say there might not be any damage on the electric board at all after such a dive. Besides, we've seen enough testing reports on the weather sealing of a K10D Just go and get a couple of weather sealed DA* lenses, you'd be safe to shoot in the rain IF there is any damage by the rain, blame Pentax and return them to Shriro ![]() Cheers! |

He also noted electrical abberations, and condensation on the top LCD. I don't see how you can conclude that the inside was dry... gradual recovery is consistent with the electronics becoming wet, and drying off.
In fact, as you've mentioned, it's probably quite good. -- My comment was to point out that weathersealing and recovery after a 2 second dip is not necessarily related. Of course, 2 second dip is MUCH better than washing under a tap... |
