I assume the K100D's grip is the same price as the DS...128K korean won, and based on the current exchange rate, its around S$210 w/o shipping. Besides being useful for huge hands, what other advantage does these grips have that people are so obsessed over it?
Is there a compartment where you can insert more batteries to extend the working life of the camera? mmm. I've always wanted as small and light as possible...that's the reason why I chose my first istDL in the first place.. ![]() |

With grip, it also helps to balance big lens when mounted on the camera body. Using a grip helps spread out the weight distribution. I guess it pretty much boil down to personal preference of whether to have the camera 'big' or 'small'... Then event shooter will love the BG1, BG2 pentax grip with additional battery juice and vertical shutter release... Like you, I like pentax's small design.. But nowaday I have my grip on my camera most of the time even when i only have my pancake mounted. cheerss.. |

It is neat & nice design... but it doesn't holds an extra battery does it? Merely offers vertical shutter button?
