Default can a canon flash 420ex be used on a dynax 5

Hi, need some help,

Can I used a canon flash e.g. ex420 on a minolta dynax 5?

Nope.

1. The hotshoes are different. Minolta hotshoes are rather proprietary.

2. 420EX does not work in any other modes than (E)TTL and full power manual.
