I did it again - to shoot around my neighbourhood. This series brought me from Clementi Woods Park to West Coast Link, to West Coast Park and back to Clementi West. Taken from 4 plus till 745pm when it threatened to rain. Enjoy the series and post some comments if you do have
Keep shooting! One of the lights that light up the walkway along Clementi Woods Park.. ![]() And up by sidelines of the pathway, a lone bench gets exposed to the elements daily. ![]() Back on the side of the path I was on.. a fallen star shaped fruit lies on the tarmac.. ![]() |

And while some are enjoying the excitement of the spills and thrills in life, many are caged up in the education system (no misrepresentation of the school okay?) ![]() While there might be a few exceptions.. the odd ones out.. ![]() Even the buses compete who has a longer backside.. Competition is indeed tough... ![]() Blue Horizon indeed lives up to it's name.. ![]() 谁比谁高? ![]() |

The imitations have arrived..the duplicates of our national icon - the esplanade.. ![]() In life, there is only one way up ![]() It may be challenging.. but it is worth it.. ![]() The pathway.. ![]() Two is better than one.. ![]() |

Littering at it's best.. ![]() These workhorses are indeed slogging away.. ![]() While others spend quality time.. ![]() And can a photoshoot be complete without the photographer's shadow..? ![]() Home is so near yet so far.. ![]() Last edited by cowism; 25th August 2007 at 10:27 AM. |

The sun sets, and nature creates it's own cauldron.. ![]() If you think your mother is fierce, try mother nature.. the crane shy away.. and the birds scatter ![]() And the crane dwarfs in comparison with the globe of fire.. ![]() Globalisation in inevitable.. ![]() Lovely kites show off their agility.. ![]() |

That lovely sunset.. given to Man everyday.. ![]() Singaporeans rush home for dinner.. ![]() But the good lighting is too much for me.. Blue sky blue building yellow curves.. ![]() And the last shot of the day.. the right angle to shoot.. is a right angle.. ![]() And as the thunder boomed off in the near distance, I knew it was time to pack up and call it a day.. *sidenote - only some adjusting of the shadow and contrast, and cropping of the photos were done. the lighting was very good.. Very nice colors!!!
May I know what White Balance you used? The colour is so fresh! Thanks for sharing! Your captions are also very enticing! Thanks! |

Well captured... and very clever play of lights...
Been to West Coast Park a few times.. but never saw it the way you did... I noticed you brought along a tripod.. which shots were taken using the tripod?? Just curious.. only the sunset shots? or were those taken without tripod? |

did you use any special filter for the photos.? because the colour of the sky looks really raw and super damned nice.

Yo mate! Have they removed the fences along the coastlines? I think that's the only missing thing about West Coast Park.

juLi - thanks for the encouragement
![]() jiven - Only from post number 7 I only started using the tripod. Regretted I didn't stay longer to shoot though. Too tired as I shot on the Marina Bay Floating Platform as well. ![]() joeyjoey - I only used a Hoya UV Filter but I doubt it did make a difference. The sky was really good that day. I've learnt the best time for a street shoot is between 5 all the way to the golden hour (7+ onwards) ![]() broccoli - you've PM! ![]() hazmee - They have indeed removed the barricades. But I there are still some renovation work going on now. But it is still accessible. Very lovely place now lest the nearby shipyard and the industrial area. The other boardwalk that was blocked off is opened as well ![]() |
