You learn whatever to get you ahead in life... For example, if you know web design, you can design your own website. If you know accounting, you can do your own accounts. If you know some marketing, you can sell stuff effectively. If you know a lot of these things, you can start a business. You do whatever it takes to get you where you want.
Your most valuable asset is yourself. You can make yourself more valuable, or less valuable.

If what you do is worth $1***, then why should your boss pay you more? If you quit, he will just hire another another sucker who will do your job for $1*** or maybe even less. However, if you can do more than the other sucker, then your boss will pay you more. Else you will leave, and he cannot find someone to do your job at your pay.

    That's life.

Yes that was my letter, questioning the accuracy of the survey..... they didnt even bother to reply me... and ST Forum's excuse? Oh please we get letters like "Can we ban smoking at windows" "Muzzling dogs is cruel", "Thank you to person who gave me lift" and cannot publish my short and polite letter of 2 lines asking if survey is accurate and if 50 cents increase is profiteering??

That is why he is the B O S S! Even though he may only sell coffee, prolly he can afford to drive Mercedes!

More and more it's getting to be a normal arrangement nowadays.

    First job to eat.

    Second job to pay mortgage.

Third job to save for retirement.
