most imptly, apply what you had learnt or the knowledge goes to waste. equipment isn't everything. it's YOU who is taking the photos, not the bloody camera. Last edited by mervlam; 19th April 2003 at 02:00 AM. |

Other issues that need to be understood by yourself are things like composition, techniques, style, DoF, etc... things that affect the overall impression of an image from a viewers point of view. Have a look through magazines, books, brochures, even postcards to see how others see the world and use them as starting blocks to achieve your own style. Equipment is the last thing to worry about here, learn to see and understand what makes an image first... I started years ago with a simple manual Pentax with only a 50mm lens and used it for 3 years while I was shooting for my secondary school magazine! The camera is only a box to hold the film, the photographer's eye is the important bit! |

come into club snap more often. there are lots of advice from many pro down here. learn, understand, and practice.
