right now i'm just waiting for my epson C41ux to die again, then i'll have an excuse to get a better printer. thinking of getting a hp printer this time round since the print head comes with the ink cartridges, so i dont have to worry about clogged heads like i did with my epson. good thing the printer was still under warranty when it got clogged, cos replacing it would literally cost more than the printer itself!

Interesting ... I hate my HP printer because I have to change the entire colour cartridge when only 1 colour runs out! Now I'm looking @ alternatives from Canon and Epson.

this is mine...

Color printing, color scanning, color copying, color faxing with camera card readers, two-sided printing and copying accessory, 250-sheet plain paper tray, HP Jetdirect 200m, collation.....etc

but problem is it is a HUGE ink drinker...luckily the ink can be refilled easily (the ink cart is not like normal ink cart that u have seen)

Actually, forget the Epson/HP/Canon/Lexmark and get this. And you will no longer have any complaints.

What's wrong with Canon? Unless you really want that Fuji above?

My epsons used to clog very often at home and at the office.
Now change to Canon, never have this problem.
Some more individual ink cartridge.
Epson don't rulez !!!!

Epson does have more 3rd party support, like the CIS systems, etc. Most print shops also use Epson's large format printers. Not to say Canon is no good of coz.

The trick to getting around the print head clogging problem is simply to print the head alignment thing every 2-4 weeks.

I got sick of waiting for the new Canon A3+ printer and bought an S9000 for $700 last week after deciding that the Epson 2100 was just too damned expensive and I couldn't look at a print and say 'yep, definately twice as good'

I am printing from a D100 with minor tweaking (levels/contrast/sharpness/saturation - only a tiny bit) in PS and the results to date are stunning.

Canons photo paper pro is on the expensive side but still much cheaper than a lab. It costs around $4.50 for an A3+ print which is pretty good and it definately is economical on ink.

Highly recommended...I'm a very happy customer....

The only gripe I have is with the shops in Sim Lim...basically bought it from the first guy who asked if he could be of assistance....I had been in about 5 shops by that time standing around whilst the employees chatted with each other...thought times were tough???!!

Switched to Canon recently. I had so many problems with head clogging on my old Epson 750 that it was time to switch. The last time, Epson wanted $50 service charge + head replacement cost + additional charges... (maybe $100++)? Really not worth it. No more Epson, ever again.
