Default Breitling

Recently brought some equipment and this is my first "product" shoot.
inspired by the previous watch photo competition.

my objective was to create an image that smacks viewers smack in the face. with the clean black background to minimise distraction and a relatively low aperture to retain sharpness all round.

Image taken with a EOS 20D, EF100mm Macro.

P.S. the hour and minute hands... just leave them alone :P

C&C appreciated

Perhaps more light from the top left corner would do both the watch and you justice. other than that, i find the picture being able to convey what you want it to

Yup that is one of the most common positioning of the hands. This is to ensure you don't cover the LOGO or NAME! heheh... Right now your "second" hand is blocking the logo.

Nice shot overall. It is always a challenge to shoot watches especially those with alot of detailing to it. If you could have some how gotten more details out of the winding crown area (right hand bottom just below the crown) would be better... to illuminate the exterior contour.
