Here is a poll to see how many of you have upgraded your E-410 and E-510, and also, how you have updated the camera. Just for the sake of those who are still undecided. Please discuss. Cheers.
(Poll can choose multiple choices). |

Those who already have, maybe you want to run through your process in detail, so that those who are fretting to do so can have a better idea. Camera setting, your computer OS version, the process, etc.
Also, what you feel AFTER updating the firmware. Do you feel any different or was there any new bugs found with the new firmware update, things like that. Cheers. |

Updating's easy peasy. Hook up the camera, start up Olympus Master, go to the Update Camera menu and update.
Had a bit of a scare tho when after a long update, the screen flashed a bit weird and went dead...didn't know if update was OK or not. I took a chance and restarted the body and lo-and-behold, ver 1.1 on my E510. Z |

Yups. did mine to 1.1. Also hook up my flash and other lens but software only prompt to update the body.
Cant seems to tell any diffrence at the moment, but as long as its updated, feels bit better.

While I don't own either of the new cameras, I've upgraded my E-300 several times over the years (and one of the lenses too)...piece of cake (if you follow the instructions on the Olympus website)...love the fact it's all automated compared to all the other devices I've upgraded the firmware on (including a sewing machine).

Just a question on this updating..
What happens if in the middle of the updating, there is a power failure or Internet disruption? ![]()
