I wonder if anyone remembers a law pass in 1980++ that its compulsory for children to look after/provide support to his/her parents when they grow old..and now the gov. wants the old man/old woman to look after himself/herself by working..the reason u think urself..

That's what we are doing now. Taking care of our parents. When we get old, we take care of ourselve. The govt trying to "wash" their hand.

If it's a physical work of course 60 cannot tahan already.

Even if it's a white collar job don't know whether after 60 can tahan the stress level or not unless companies give relatively relaxing job with high pay for the older workers. But where got such luxury one?

Also must think about the rapid technological progress that an older worker has to keep on catching up.
And it has degenerated to this... with polictical insinuation

But was he able to carry out his job? It was not lack of capability on his part. Can we all recall what happened when he had to call for a Press Conference to address the Citizens of Singapore some years back or do we have short memories?
I am putting a stop to this thread and remind all to observe the terms of posting. That include no political talk or insinuation here. Infraction will be given for those contravene the terms here in CS.
