Well, what would you deem to be the focal point then?

Somehow, I don't seem to be able to find any. I would either crop off the mountain on the right or include more of it as it gives me a neither here nor there feeling. The white clouds is also a spoiler IMO as a nice blue sky would have been a much better backdrop for these scenic mountains.

newbie here bro who wants to learn from gurus....but how to emphasize a "focal point" especially on landscape or any other type of photography.... thanks...

Start by using rule of thirds. Though it may be just a guideline, you cant go wrong most of the time if you follow it. Splitting this shot equally into two does not work for me.

Getting a focal point in this shot can be like placing a small boat in the river, or getting closer to the what i see as jetty area with a tele, etc. use your imagination...

Well, you try to guide the viewer into a point or an area by means of lines, angles, etc...

Sometimes a valley can be a good way to guide the eyes down to a specific area where there may be more interest at the base. These are just some of the guides, look around more and mebbe you can get some more ideas.
