can i just check with you... did you manage to get the "BIG BIG" ones with your 16mm? or these are just the "normal" sized ones... thinking whether my 12-24 would be wide enough if i am sitting in the light green sector... cheers!

I am still thinking whether to bring my camera and tripod.... I don't want to go to the place and in the end cannot bring tripod in and have to forfeit my tickets....

Wah, so many questions.

I reached Esplanade Park at 8 plus and someone with 2 tickets for sale offered to sell me one. He said he had extra tickets.

Using Sigma 16mm f2.8 fisheye which gives about 21-22mm 35mm equivalent if corrected. Distortion uncorrected, all uncropped except the panorama. No. 4 is one of the higher ones.

No problems with tripod. I saw a few tripod set up near me.

Yellow sector is slightly to the left of centre, green is to the left of yellow.

Nice shots, Oh. I was at the Padang this evening where the road was clogged by cars stopping to look! In anycase, we could not see the ones blocked by the trees but most of the fireworks was ok. Towards the end the smoke was so bad, it actually hid them!
I only had my camera but no tripod, so settled for some hand held shots instead.
Great work on your shots!
