Maybe with the K10D, you don't really need it. I have it also and used it once on my DS.

Better keep them away from the young kids... otherwise the tip will get chomped off or licked wet with saliva...

Its not cheap, around S$50. Very expensive 'candy'

I'm happy cleaning off stubborn specks with a $15 Kinetronics 'speckgrabber'.

Don't know how to use that speckgrabber thing haha, got fed up and dumped it.

I have the cleaning kit, longko got it a while back, it's pretty good actually, but cannot use when too dusty, and no use if got welded dust - i.e. dust which has moisture. But that goes for a lot of other things so. =)

That's what happened to my DS. Can see the dust specks on the sensor but the gel tip just cannot stick it up. At the end, off it goes to the service center for cleaning.

Hahaha, I use good quality cotton buds + cleaning solution.

I know a lot of people might balk at it, but it works fine, hahaha.

It's a good one if it works for you

I've used dSLR cameras for near three years, never needed to clean my sensor yet, except some blows with a blower Normally I'd pay more attention when changing lenses (camera face down, keep the lens rear end clean, don't clean the sensor unless really needed ...).

I hope I'd never need to use the CUTE CCD clean kit at all

cleaning sometimes will make things worse, a simple blowing with a blower may introduce even more dust into the sensor. for me, i dont even bother to clean the filter, as it make no different to my pic, so why waste the $ and take the risks

The speckgrabber is slightly sticky so it lifts the dirt off from the sensor. It worked on really stubborn dust specks (on an Olympus E-300...even the ultrasound SSWF thing couldn't remove it). Just gently press the tip on the speck and wipe the tip with alcohol or lighter fluid and very clean, lint-free paper (Pec pads or spectacle cleaning sheets).
