Nothing great about it but the attraction is not explainable in words. I only own one Panerai. I like it because I can play straps with it. I have been a fan of leather for a long time. Those belongs to my buddy of 25 years. Maybe these forum explain better.. www.paneristi.com and www.viapaneristi.com

    10. Motorbikes
    11. Marine/Fresh Water Aquariums
    12. Latest gadgets (Handphones/PDAs/Blackberries)
    13. GPS-Geocaching

He cash out at just the right time...man. Not bad a life man heh...
Well the last I heard he sold it for nearly a billion Singapore dollarts to Flextronics but he only had a 40% stake at that point of time. The rest goes to public shares and internal partners.

I was lucky to have shot his profile and his company in 1999 for their annual report. That was a jackpot photoshoot!

Yeah you are right on his daughter on opening the Thai Express chains. Without her daddy's fund, Thai Express is just another normal food chain restaurant. The Japanese restaurant is not doing very well.......

Actually, it's quite true. Infact, they do not have much friends. Sad but true. I have a couple of those friends who owns exotic cars but just do not know how to really enjoy life. Hehe....

Too much money with no self control will just ruin your entire life......

You forgot to add another item that rich men loves a lot.......having a few mistress.

Sometimes being too rich is a double edged sword. Everything loses its flavour since it comes by a whole lot easier, as compared to say... an odd job labourer who buys his first Lamborghini.

If you could have stayed and slogged for him, he would have given you one of the mistresses and let you play.

agree too... in fact when their business is doing well, they end up more anxious to keep it running better. Many are silent victims of stress, loneliness and addictions.

Maybe he would lend you a different mistress on a different day?

And you could have a new model everyday.

Wah... this is getting tough... I was looking for common toys... so things like islands, weapons, horse keeping, etc... would be out.
For men... so things like diamonds, shoes etc... would be out since these are largely women's toys.
Cigars is boderline... because I think it's not so popular yet... but since wine is, perhaps I should just include it to be safe.
Books are not toys because they are too respectable to be considered play.
Remote control kites are fads... so I think it should not be included.
Property.... well... it's more like investment/consumption. I don't think people actually play with their houses.

I don't know about mistresses... but I think it should be excluded out of respect for women.

Model kits? I think most of us stop playing with these when we grow up.

    That leaves us with:
    Antiques (includes artifacts)
    Art collection (includes paintings)

That's not common. Some people collect Barbie dolls, but let's not go there either.
