You talking about those portable storage devices like Vosonic, Nexto, etc ? Go to eastgear.

Portable Storage. You have to remove your media like CF, SD, MS or XD from the camera and insert it to the portable storage to transfer the photos.

    yes there is

But it can only support those camera with wifi capabilities. So far, i tink only nikon support

    wifi transfer.

These are called wifi hard-disk. There are available in the market but its abit expensive.

You can do bit torrent as well without having to turn on ur PC. It will sync to ur wireless

    router.

there are also those that can transfer from a 'Mass Storage Devices' into the HD direct thru USB. So if your cam can emulate a mass storage device it should be a problem.

NEXTODI CF OTG xpress or ultra or M1 has a USB port that can detect any device via USB. So which means you can use a USB card reader or your cable plugged direct from Cam to the HDD for transfer. Furthermore, this brand has an external battery for longer usage (eg when u are travelling overseas)

I bought a Camera Connector for my Ipod, where I can transfer pictures via a USB cable. It is great for travelling!

Transfer RAW files are slow, not very sure about JPG. But it handy when you get into the situation where you laptop is down and running out of CF cards.....

I have seen them at Sim Lim. However, I can't remember which shop. Any shop that sells Apple or Ipod accessories, I guess. My brother bought it for me as a Xmas gift from the Apple shop at Wheelock. I am not sure if you can get it cheaper at Sim Lim though.

Am pretty sure you should be able to use an IPod or an IRiver with the appropriate software loaded. You can purchase a USB memory stick reader and then stick that into your device.

Memory cards are getting bigger as well - so depends on how large your photos are.
I've got a 2GB card.....and with prices continually going down, I'll purchase more of them instead when I travel (I've only got a 4MP camera).

Dunno if that is risky - cause if the card gets corrupted in any way - have lost a whole load of photos.....so maybe will stick at 2GB and not go any higher.
