Not sure if it is the Purple Heron, if it is then probably an immature one.

Another possibility could be an immature Great-billed Heron, but these are rare resident here and they are big. Usually alone and shy bird.

Anyone has any clue??

Definitely not Purple Heron. I'm quite sure it's a Great-billed Heron, but it could be an immature Great-billed Heron as it doesn't seem to have the full colouration of the adult (at the angle of the shots at least).

Wink Identity of bird

From my records, it looks like a young Great-billed Heron.... Hi to all, if you are going there to shoot again, please let me know so that I may know some other fellow nature photographers.. regards, John
