What software to use with canoscan 9950F? Mac user

Hi guys,

own a Macbookpro, bought a canoscsan 9950F recently, but find that the accompanying software a bit lacking. Just wondering what sort of software the bros here use for scanning film. I just need to use it for generating 4R prints or web-use, not for archival purposes, so not really looking for high-end software. TIA!

I don't think you're going to have a lot of choices. VueScan is the only other scanning software that works for a variety of hardware available.

Can't you just use the Canon software in simplified mode?
