I usually post photo models photos, but I was on a trip and had no models to do a shoot with. So I decided to give to a different subject.

Hey, nice texture and composition. But I think the DOF is a bit too shallow, I would prefer to see one entire pattern repetition. But the way, I find that the BW is not pure BW....a tint of blue. Is it BW or its natural colour??

The photo is a tritone image. So you are correct it's not pure BW.

The DOF is fine with me. It forces your eyes to focus on that one part of the photo. There is enough info in the OOF bits for you to derive that the pattern repeats.
If everything were in focus, it would look too mundane. Just my half-cent's.

Thanks for the clearification. Nice cool feel of the tritone to convey the coldness of the steel..
