A very first attempt to shoot birds... then I realised I knew nuts about composing shots with birds
![]() ![]() Of the not so many frames taken today at Jurong Bird Park (seen from the tag on the bird's leg vs. a wild bird)... I thought this was one of the keepers, with a clean(er) background and some foreground element together with the bird. Am I doing this right? Or have I gotten it all wrong. Appreciate any critique and pointers on how to improve. Thanks ![]() Shot handheld, 1/80s f/4 @ 300mm ISO1600 no flash. ![]() The rest of the shots can be found here

the pic seems a little underexposed? (or it could be my monitor...) other than that...good focus! nice composition too.

However the focus seems not to be its eyes. |
