Yes~ A 30D can accept all EF and EF-s lenses~ Kit lens is an EF-s lens.

Hi Gilbert - maybe you are confused by the term 'kit lens'. It simply means the lens that is bundled with the camera and sold as a package. In the old days, Canon and Nikon sells the camera bodies and lens separately (they still do by the way). To attract buyers they mass produce a reasonable performing lens and offer this at a bundled price with the body. Kit lenses are normally EF-S but this may not be the case - for e.g. the kit lens for the 5D is the 24-105 L.

But it seem rather fitting for the 18-200 to be kit lens of the D200 and the 17-55 to be that of the D2Xs. nowadays for alot of canon promotion, you can pay a higher price for the 17-85 IS instead of the 18-55... so would you consider that a kit lens? |
