Need advice on a good quality Nikon neck strap for my D80. I want something good that can reduce the weight. The original strap that came with the camera does not do that. Saw some third-party strap but wasn't sure they are good. Any advice?

A good alternative will be the Op/Tech USA neck strap. The neoprene pad feels pretty comfortable.

I am using optech classic strap, D200+MB+17~55+SB800+LSPJII, sling the camera whole day shooting wedding, no problem at all.
But if I shoot in studio, I prefer to remove the whole strap. |

Seems like the Op/Tech strap is the de facto one to use. Thanks guys.

Does Nikon has handstrap? Have been looking for one but couldn't find it on their website. May I know where did you get it from and how much? Any picture to share? Thanks in advance!

I bought the Optech Classic strap for my D50.
After upgrading to the D200, I find that the Optech classic strap could not take the strain from the heavier load and I've upgraded to the Optech Pro Loop strap, the one with the flat paracord. Therefore, I would suggest getting the Optech Pro Loop so that you don't have to change if you're getting a new camera which is heavier than your current setup. HTH.

Unfortunately, it is another side of the story for me. Optech neck and bag strips give me skin rashes. My rashes were so bad that I had to consult a dermatologist at National Skin Centre which cost ne more than the price of those two Optech strips.
