Depending whether u want a grey set (around 2.4k) or not. I got one from MS on dec 2006 and the price at S$2.8K.

Get the Tokina f2.6-2.8 Pro II 28-70mm then. It is much cheaper and it works pretty well.

I'd bought mine from Man Shing at HKD 10,200 in April '07 (exchange rate of 5.11 equivalent to SGD 1996.10) with international warranty and official receipt. Free Nikon shopping bag and watch as well.
