    Well, the point of calibration is so that your display is "standard", which is better than something that is totally uncorrected. True, if the viewer's screen is not, it will look wrong on his. But the point is that uncalibrated screens are not similar to each other so no matter what, diff people will see diff things, UNLESS the display is calibrated, which again is the whole point.

    Anyway, if you need your photos to be used professionally or printed, it helps that they are corrected properly on a calibrated display since other ppl and equipment in the industry are also calibrated.

    Furthermore, if you can make your display look better, why not?

    Using the DELL Latitude D420. In 1.5 months HDD crashed without warning. Suddenly slow down and "Disk I?O Error" message appears after reboot. Arrrgggghhhh!!! Lost all my info.

    didn't u back up in a portable storage device daily ?
