For the 1st shot, you have the expression there, but too bad, you lack the action. For such sport, you need the tennis ball in the frame to illustrate the kind of sport and actions. You might want to take a look at this link on sport photography http://photo.net/learn/sports/overview |

no worries i have heaps of "action shots"
these are more portrait type photos of the ladies during their match. anyways, in squash they dun use a tennis ball but nonetheless, i was asked to take not just action but portrait as well and these are the portrait ones. in my view, the action with the ball is common place which is why i didn't post it. |

Hmm.. interesting, portrait.... and even more interesting, action without ball.... Care to share some action shots with the ball? ![]() |

threw in one action shot with the ball since you seem to be hung up on it and the link you passed, less then impressed. won't post anymore since there does not seem to be a squash following...no one else took pics here? i thought about it and the event organiser was more than happy, the players were thrilled with the shots I gave them (portrait style and action) for me that's all that matters. I thought I'd share it with you guys since it is a very challenging sport to shoot considering limited lighting, framing, focusing, speed and movements of athletes, an ugly green tint reflecting off of the wall, a dirty glass to shoot through, glare, etc. It's one of the more challenging sports I've gotten to shoot. quite surprising no one else posted considering it was free and here for an entire week with the world's top players. anyways, have a good day. |
