nice shots ..

I like the 3rd one .. would be better if you use a polariser to remove the reflection and compose the object to top right hand corner

I think the second one is the shell remains of a dragonfly nymph. Baby dragonflies are called nymphs. These live underwater for about 5 years before emerging to become dragonflies for another 5 years. (life cycle similar to caterpiller->butterfly). What you captured seems to be the shell after the dragonfly has left. I think the head portion of the shell has already dropped off.

By the way, dragonfly nymphs are fearsome creatures. They are predatory, eating small fishes and tadpoles. On its lower lip is an extensible claw which can shoot out and grab any fish/tadpoles swimming by. Its camoflaged among the water plants and ambushes prey that swim by. Fully aquatic at this stage of life, it also breathes underwater.

I see you are enjoying your G3...

really like the sharpness and colours of your flower shots at BG. Much better than those by DSLR imo. Any special lens used on your G3?
